Emergency Response Manager
Position Overview
The Emergency Response Manager directs the planning, implementation, and continuous operation of a 24/7 emergency services program. This individual leads a multidisciplinary Emergency Response Team, ensuring rapid response to medical emergencies, fires, natural disasters, hazardous conditions, and other critical incidents.
The role reports to Security Operations Leadership and serves as a key operational commander within the integrated security framework.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Accountability
- Lead and supervise the Emergency Response Team (ERT) under a unified command structure, ensuring 24/7 operational readiness and team accountability.
- Enforce compliance with operational procedures, safety protocols, and professional conduct standards.
- Implement disciplinary action and staff reassignments for performance or conduct issues.
- Conduct routine inspections to verify personnel readiness, equipment condition, and SOP adherence.
Operational Deployment & Scheduling
- Manage team deployment according to approved duty post matrix and shift schedules.
- Prepare and submit weekly duty schedules to senior management at least 24 hours in advance.
- Ensure uninterrupted staffing with qualified personnel and promptly replace absent or incapacitated staff.
- Coordinate with Team Leaders on shift relief, post assignments, and emergency coverage.
Training & Professional Development
- Develop and deliver role-specific training, including onboarding, scenario-based drills, and refresher courses.
- Maintain comprehensive training documentation and compliance records.
- Coordinate participation in multi-discipline simulation exercises and drills.
- Implement corrective training for underperforming personnel or procedural gaps.
Reporting & Documentation
- Oversee preparation and timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Validate accuracy of shift logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation.
- Compile After-Action Reviews (AARs) following significant incidents or deployments.
- Escalate critical issues and security concerns to senior management without delay.
Equipment & Logistics Management

Coordinate inventory management of emergency equipment, including:
- Trauma Kits
- AEDs
- Oxygen Equipment
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- SCBA Units
- Track equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs or replacement.
- Ensure all emergency equipment remains operational and ready for immediate deployment.
- Provide logistical oversight in coordination with supply and logistics personnel.
Quality Assurance & Performance Monitoring
- Implement internal quality control measures to verify team performance and procedural adherence.
- Conduct monthly quality assurance reviews and submit summary reports.
- Participate in performance review meetings and address identified deficiencies.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for service gaps or non-compliance.
Incident Command & Emergency Response
- Function as Incident Commander during emergency events until control transfers to external responders.
- Coordinate with security operations, medical services, facilities management, and external emergency responders.
- Participate in post-incident debriefings and implement process improvements.
- Maintain operational readiness at all times to respond to emergencies as directed.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Four-year college degree or equivalent professional certification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in emergency services, emergency management, or a similar supervisory role.
- Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary teams and 24/7 operations.
- Experience in high-security or corporate environments preferred.
Certifications & Licenses
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification from a recognized provider.
- Basic Firefighting Training Certification.
- Incident Command System (ICS) Certification.
- Occupational Health and Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain).

- Must be at least 19 years of age.

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Capacity to climb multiple flights of stairs or perform similar physical exertion.
- Must pass a pre-employment medical examination and fitness-for-duty assessment.
Background Requirements
- No criminal record or pending legal cases.
- Valid clearances from national background check agencies.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and be subject to random testing.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position requiring 24/7 operational availability. The work schedule includes morning, afternoon, and night shifts and may require response during emergencies, drills, and simulations at any time.
The work environment includes exposure to stressful situations, medical emergencies, and hazardous conditions. The successful candidate must maintain a professional demeanor and remain ready for deployment at all times.
